Your privacy is important to us

When you use our services and send us your information, you are sharing your personal data with us. You must therefore be able to trust that we handle your data carefully and confidentially. In this Privacy Statement, you can read how we do this.

By using our services and our website, you unconditionally accept this Privacy Statement. We may change this privacy policy at any time. We therefore recommend that you consult this Privacy Statement regularly.

When you visit Getwaky.com, we collect various data for different purposes. Below we explain which data we collect, for which purposes, how we obtain the data, what your rights are and how you can exercise them. Getwaky.com respects your privacy and ensures that all your personal data is treated confidentially. Under no circumstances will we provide your confidential data to third parties for commercial purposes.

Personal data and data processing

In order to provide you with good and personalised service, we require certain information from you. When you register with us, your name, (email) address and telephone number are stored. These details are used exclusively for services you have specifically requested, such as when you place an order with us or when you update your details.

Getwaky.com processes three types of data: identity data, payment data and traffic data.

Identity Data

These are the details you enter during the ordering or registration process:

  • Title
  • Company name
  • First name
  • Surname
  • Address
  • Postcode
  • City
  • Country
  • E-mail
  • Phone number

We use the order details to process your order and deliver the parcel to you as quickly as possible. Your email address and telephone number may be useful if, for example, there is an issue with your parcel. The email address you enter here is not used for marketing purposes. When you register on our site as a “returning customer”, you can indicate whether you wish to receive our digital newsletter with interesting offers. You can also unsubscribe via the link in the newsletter. Your other details are not used for marketing purposes and will certainly not be provided to third parties for commercial purposes.

What personal data do we collect?

We only collect personal data when you decide to provide identification details to us, whether via the website or otherwise:

  • If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your name and email address.
  • We also retain the content of communications for as long as necessary to provide our services.

Are we allowed to do this?

For the processing of personal data, we rely on your consent and/or on the necessity of processing for the provision of our services, or on a legal obligation or legitimate interest.

Who has access to your personal data?

We only share your personal data with third parties with your explicit consent and where necessary to provide our services, or where legally required. We may share your personal data with companies or third parties who process data on our behalf, such as our accountant.

We do not sell or disclose the personal data we collect to third parties, except as described in this Privacy Policy or as communicated to you at the time of collection. We may disclose your personal data if required by law or in connection with a legal investigation. If we sell part or all of our business or assets, we reserve the right to transfer personal data as part of that transaction. In such a case, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the acquiring party processes the data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

What if we ever stop with our activities…

We reserve the right to transfer personal data in the event that we sell part or all of our business or assets. If such a sale occurs, we will take all reasonable measures to ensure that the acquiring party processes the personal data provided to us correctly and in a manner consistent with this Privacy Statement.

Payment data

When registering payment details, we only record your chosen payment method. Bank details are not stored.

Installment payments via external provider

If you choose Klarna as your payment method, Klarna may carry out a credit check itself or share the payment data collected for payment processing with an external credit agency. You may object to this at any time.

Traffic data

Traffic data may include registering an IP address*, installing a cookie**, recording click behaviour and analysing your navigation on our website.

Using traffic data, we analyse the browsing behaviour of our visitors. We examine how navigation is used, which pages are visited and which items are ordered, so that we can improve the awareness, functionality and content of our website (and digital newsletters).

* An IP address is an Internet Protocol address that refers to a unique destination on the internet. In some cases, it may be directly traceable to the visitor’s computer. This information is essential to send web pages to the correct computer via the internet.

** A cookie is a collection of data, a small file that a website transfers to a computer’s hard drive for storage. A cookie does not identify the visitor personally, but it does identify the computer. Our website installs a cookie to analyse your browsing behaviour so that we can optimise our website.

Cookies & Tracking

Our website also uses several technical features to better serve our customers. We will briefly list them below. The website of Getwaky.com uses cookies and similar techniques. In addition, third parties place tracking cookies to show you personalised advertisements. Tracking cookies are also placed by social media networks such as Facebook and Google. Your internet behaviour may be tracked by these third parties through these tracking cookies. Below we explain for what purpose the different trackers are used. A profile may be created about you. This profile may be anonymous but may also be linked to your identity through, for example, your Google or Facebook profile.

The Facebook Pixel

Through our website, a cookie is placed by the American company Facebook as part of the “Facebook Pixel” service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website and to display targeted advertisements on Facebook. During your visit to this website, a user profile is created. Facebook may provide this information to third parties if Facebook is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Facebook’s behalf. The information is transferred to and stored by Facebook on servers in the United States for an indefinite period.

Google Analytics

Through our website, a cookie is placed by the American company Google as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to track and receive reports on how visitors use the website. Google may provide this information to third parties if Google is legally obliged to do so, or insofar as third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have chosen to anonymise the IP address. We have no influence over further processing. The information is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States for an indefinite period.

Good to know:

  • A data processing agreement has been concluded with Google.
  • The data of website visitors is processed in encrypted and anonymised form.
  • We have disabled “data sharing” with Google.
  • Google Analytics cookies are not used in combination with other Google services, such as DoubleClick and Google Ads.
  • Google Analytics data will be stored for a maximum period of 50 months.

Prefer to keep your identity private?

That is possible. You may use our website without enabling all these trackers. The disadvantage is that advertisements will not be linked to your browsing behaviour and we will not be able to measure how you use our website. We find this useful because it helps us improve our services. However, it is your computer and your choice, so you may use tools such as Disconnect.me, Do Not Track Me or Ghostery. With these tools, you can indicate per website and per tracker whether you wish to allow them. Certain functionality may not be available when using these plugins.

At Getwaky.com, we take data security very seriously. We have implemented the necessary physical, technical and organisational security measures to effectively protect your personal data against unauthorised access, use and disclosure.

  • Access to our premises is restricted.
  • Passwords are used on computers, smartphones, mailboxes and locations where your data is digitally stored.
  • We only work with reliable partners and conclude data processing agreements with them in accordance with the GDPR.
  • Paper documents containing sensitive data are properly destroyed before disposal.
